Cytoskeleton

Picture
Cytoskelton support, motitlize and regulation the cell. It is very important in animal cells because they lack cell walls.

Microtubules- they are hollow tubes and wall that consist of 13 coulmns of tubulin molecules. They help maintain the cell shape such as compression-resisting girders, cell motltity as in cilia or flagella, chromosome movements in cell divison, and organelle movements.

Microfilaments - two interwined strands of actin, each with a polymer of actin subunits. It help maintian cell chape such as tension bearing elements, change's cell shapes, muscle contraction, cytoplasmic streaming, cell motility as in pseudopdia, cell divison as in cleavage furrow formation.

Intermediate filament - it is a fibrous proteind supercoiled into thick cables. It help maintain cell's shape such as tension bearing elements, anchorage of nucleus and cetain other organelles, and formation of nucleus lamina.
