Ribosomes

Picture

Ribosomes are particles that are consist of ribosomal RNA and protein that carry out pretin synthesis They are organelles that carry out protein systhemesis through out the cell. They are one of the two organelles that are not enclosed by a membrane. They build proteins in two cytoplasmic locales: cytosol and outside of the endoplasmic reticulum or nuclear envelope. Free ribosmes are located in the cytosol and bound ribosomes are located in the nuclear envelope or endoplasmic reticulum. Free ribosomes function in the cytosol and bound ribosomes make proteins that either for insertion into membranes or secretion out of the membranes.
